HYDROTECHNICAL CONSTRUCTIONS
Currently, standard methods for levees testing are invasive point geotechnical surveys using boreholes or dynamic probings. Due to the frequent variation of lithology and levees structure these measurements, carried out in a limited range, do not provide detailed informations and furthermore often can lead to wrong interpretation. In this case, there is an absolute need for non-destructive geophysical and continuous recognition for optimal locating geotechnical drilling, even before the classic geological works. The most frequently GPR method is applied, resistivity imaging ERT, and MASW 2D technique or seismic tomography. These methods are used also for antifilter diaphragms control, made in DSM, WIPS or CDMM (trencher) technologies.
Seismic (MASW 2D) surveys to determine the depth of the bottom of exposed CDMM diaphragm at modernizing levee
Three-component (3C) seismic surveys at levee
Seismic (MASW 2D) surveys to verify the location, continuity and depth of the bottom of covered DSM diaphragm in modernizing levee
Multi-channel georadar surveys to verify the location, continuity and width of covered DSM diaphragm in modernizing levee
